Our Head of Health & Wellness appears in list of 50 most influential captive professionals for the first time

Exciting news! Our Head of Health & Wellness, Dr Leena Johns, has been voted into the Captive Review Power 50 for the first time, coming in at 27th place.

The Power 50 is an annual list of the most influential captive insurance professionals. With entrants from around the world, only the best of the best in the captive industry are in the Power 50.

Captive Review said: “As Head of Health and wellness at MAXIS GBN Dr Johns is responsible for global healthcare claims analytics and wellness. A former ER physician, Dr Johns has worked across the world, from the Middle East to the United States. At the front of innovation in the EB space, she has developed a suite of MAXIS multinational global medical dashboard reports and is always looking for ways to improve EB.”

Dr Leena is a recognisable face and voice in the captive industry, regularly speaking at industry events, and working closely with multinationals to tackle their biggest wellness problems and navigate the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. Just this year, Dr Leena has spoken at the World Captive Forum, has been heavily involved in our report into the global private medical landscape and has plenty more speaking opportunities in the calendar.

One to watch

Our global Head of Business Development, Paul Lewis, was also voted as “one to watch” in the Captive Review Power 50. This category is for rising stars in the captive world to more experienced professionals that might make the Power 50 next year.

Captive Review said “At MAXIS GBN since 2016, Lewis is responsible for the global Business Development teams who develop employee benefits solutions for multinational employers. He has more than 15 years’ experience working with Metlife and Aetna Global Benefits implementing global employee benefit plans. Lewis was promoted to head of business development in December 2021 and is taking the lead during massive growth in employee benefits.”
