MAXIS GBN

Find out who took home the prizes!

The MAXIS Global Forum ended with our much-anticipated network member awards. The awards gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate success and thank our network members for their commitment, with prizes being given in the following categories:

  • Most engaged member
  • Data champion
  • Innovation champion
  • CSR champion

Iliyana Mladenova, our Chief Operating Officer, hosted the ceremony at the Verbasco Restaurant at The Oitavos hotel, Lisbon, Portugal. And the winners were…

Most engaged member

This award goes to the member who goes above and beyond and shows their commitment to engaging with the MAXIS team. The competition was fierce, but the award went to AXA Switzerland. AXA Switzerland has been instrumental in the testing phase for our new data sharing tool via our OneMember portal, providing excellent feedback to make sure the new process is smooth for everyone and help us provide our client reports in a timely manner. The willingness of the team to meet in-person has also been great for forming a really strong relationship and has led to a successful period of new business.

Isabella Burigo Garbode, Key Account Manager – International Business, AXA Switzerland, said: “To our great surprise AXA Switzerland was the proud winner of the 2024 MAXIS Award for the most engaged network member! This award is a reflection of the collective effort and commitment of our team at AXA Switzerland and the great partnership we’ve had with MAXIS GBN over all these years… #PowerOfPartnership.

"Dennis Waech, Head of AXA Switzerland Competence Centre International Business, and I were truly honoured to accept the award on behalf of our organisation. We are looking forward to continuing our excellent cooperation.”

Data quality champion

Data is at the heart of everything we do as a network: collecting high-quality data in a timely manner is crucial for providing accurate reports to our clients which can help inform their EB strategy. Our data quality champion is a member who consistently submits accurate data in good time and responds to any queries raised promptly. They also collaborate well with the MAXIS Underwriting and Reporting teams, and this engagement really helps us reach our shared goals. The winner was… MetLife UK.

Nick Pemberton, Head of Strategic Partnerships, MetLife UK, said: "We are incredibly proud to receive this award from our MAXIS partners in recognition of our data quality which is the life blood of our business. This award is truly testament to the collaborative attributes and high level of engagement between our respective underwriting and reporting teams who continually strive for excellence in data management and the delivery of “best in class” service to our mutual clients and policyholders. #PowerofPartnership"

Innovation champion

Innovation is crucial if we want to stay ahead of the curve and find new tools and solutions to continue servicing our multinational clients to a high standard. This award went to AXA Health UK on the night! It was judged by our Digital Data & Innovation Lab (DDIL) team who were impressed to hear that AXA Health have launched the first neurodiversity benefits in the UK market for their corporate clients. This service is available for neurodiverse conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia and helps neurodiverse employees find support more quickly than they would be able to via the NHS, with online assessments and diagnosis, group sessions, access to educational experts and a medicine review team.

Richard Saunders, Key Client Director, AXA Health UK, said: “AXA Health are completely thrilled and honoured to have received the ‘Innovation Champion’ award at the 2024 MAXIS Global Forum – ‘the Power of Partnership’.  AXA Health are one of the first medical providers to launch a neurodiversity service in the UK and we are receiving many compliments from our participating clients. It’s rewarding to be recognised by MAXIS in this way – we constantly benefit from our participation in the MAXIS Global Network and the partnerships this gives AXA Health.”

CSR champion

Last but not least was our CSR champion award. CSR is no longer a nice to have – through our MAXIS for Good initiative, we’re committed to making a positive impact in the communities we work and live in, and it’s important to us that our network members around the world are doing the same. Our CSR champion award went to Bao Viet who show their commitment to local communities through blood donations, financial aid, hospital support, school support and much more.

Nguyen Thanh Van, Acting Director, Bao Viet, said: ““It was wonderful for Bao Viet to win this award despite the strong and talented competition from different countries and regions!

"Vietnam is a developing country with a population of more than 100 million people, and although progress is being made every day, we face harsh natural conditions, natural disasters and epidemics every year. This means that CSR is a top priority for all organisations, especially insurance companies. At Bao Viet, we have always devoted time and resources to activities that help the local community, and we’re always ready to support those in difficult circumstances. We want to spread love on our sustainable development journey and help life become more meaningful and beautiful.”

Congratulations to all our award winners and thanks to all of our members for their commitment – we’re proud to have you as part of the network!
