Throughout November, our team members around the world took part in volunteering activities as part of MAXIS for Good Month 2024.
From Hong Kong to Paris, London and the US, we carried out a variety of activities, all focused on supporting the key themes of hunger, environment and health. Here’s what we got up to…
Stepney City Farm, London: A group of colleagues in London volunteered at Stepney City Farm, a working urban farm that brings the community together and cultivates wellbeing. Braving snow and rain, the team carried out tasks including weeding, gardening and turning compost.
Children’s Hospital Pyjamas, London: The London team also supported Children’s Hospital Pyjamas, a UK-based charity that collects and donates new pyjamas to hospitals, hospices and women’s refuges. The team donated pyjamas and made pairs of fabric hearts designed to help families stay connected.
Community Food Bank, Atlanta: Our team in Atlanta volunteered at the Atlanta Community Food Bank making soup bags which were distributed to those in need over the Thanksgiving holiday.
Make A Wish, Paris: In Paris we collaborated with Make A Wish, an organisation that works to bring joy to children with critical illnesses. The MAXIS team spent the day contacting elementary schools across France, raising awareness for Make A Wish's 'Wish Week’ fundraising campaign.
The Bread Run, Hong Kong: The Hong Kong office took part in The Bread Run, rescuing bread that would have otherwise been discarded and donating it to charities across the city.
It’s been really rewarding to come together and give our time to some extremely worthwhile causes. Thank you to everyone involved!
