Diversity, equity & inclusion 

As a truly international business, diversity and inclusion is paramount at MAXIS. We are fortunate to have staff who come from many different backgrounds, speak many different languages and bring a diverse perspective that is unique to MAXIS. This was reflected in the results of our 2024 diversity and inclusion staff survey. Of those that completed the survey, we found that: 

  • The majority speak two or more languages

  • English remains the top native language but French, Spanish, Hindi and Cantonese are also widely spoken

  • The most represented generation is millennials, followed by Gen X, Gen Z and then Baby Boomers 

  • The most common ethnicity was white (48%), followed by Asian (24%), Latino (10%), mixed/multiple ethnicity groups (8%), Black/African/Caribbean (7%) and Arabic (1%)

At MAXIS, we continue to celebrate the diverse range of cultures within our team through the ‘Culture Corner’ section of our quarterly Town Halls. This gives everyone the chance to share what they love about their individual cultures, as well as a chance for us to learn more about our colleagues from around the world.

Once a year we get together to recognise our colleagues that have gone above and beyond and demonstrated the MAXIS values at our annual staff awards.  

Based on the MAXIS values (creativity, collaboration and accountability), the three awards are voted for by the MAXIS team, providing an opportunity to recognise the amazing work of our colleagues.  

MAXIS for Good

Acting responsibly, ethically and sustainably is a top priority for all of us, at all times. 

The MAXIS for Good initiative embodies our commitment to a clear and comprehensive approach to ethical, environmental and social issues as a business. This initiative is made up of seven core areas across three pillars: Community, Environment, People, Conduct & Ethics, Clients & Solutions, Suppliers & Partners, and the MAXIS Network.  

We’re always delighted by the number of MAXIS team members actively organising volunteering activities and finding ways to contribute to their local communities through MAXIS for Good.
