The MAXIS Global Forum 2026

‘Advancing Together’ in Baveno

What a special few days at the 2026 MAXIS Global Forum! With 82 attendees joining from 46 of our network partners around the world, alongside the global MAXIS team and a whole host of expert speakers, the event was always going to be special. And when you throw in the beautiful backdrop of Lake Maggiore and the Italian sun shining, there was no better stage for sharing insights, planning for future success and, of course, lots of fun along the way.

Titled ‘Advancing Together’, the Forum focused on collaboration, learning from each other, and addressing the key trends in the EB market right now so we can continue to meet multinational clients’ evolving needs. It wasn’t all business though – we explored the beautiful local area, played our infamous football tournament and had some friendly competition in our ‘Driving success’ team challenge that saw attendees building small cars for children in the local area.

It was a jam-packed couple of days, but some of the key themes were…

The strength of our network

This is something we pride ourselves on – and something we cannot succeed without – so it was only right to kick off the 2026 MAXIS Global Forum with a focus on our network.

Our CEO, Mattieu Rouot, and our Chief Business Development Officer, Jayesh Patel focused on our shared strategy for continued success, as well as discussing how we’re set up to support our members in winning new local business and to ensure we’re servicing our global clients to the highest possible standards.

And the MAXIS Global Forum wouldn’t have been complete without our ‘speed networking’ session – a high-octane couple of hours that saw our network members and global Business Development team discussing opportunities for shared success. It’s always great to return home with a list of key priorities and a renewed focus together.

Technology and AI are shaping EB

It’s impossible to look to the future without touching on innovation, technology and AI.

Nicola Fordham, our Chief Solutions Officer, discussed the importance of innovation when it comes to staying on top of the latest trends and offering solutions and services that get to the heart of what our clients – and their people – want and need most.

And we were lucky to be joined by Origin Benefits on Day 2 of the Forum. They ran an interactive session that demonstrated the power of AI live in the room. The attendees discussed how AI and other technology could help solve operational challenges and enable people to focus on delivering higher value to clients.

The role of GLP-1s in addressing chronic disease

Driving more than half of all claims paid in the MAXIS data, it’s clear that chronic disease is a workforce issue – and with the average age of diagnosis being 42, it’s also no longer an ageing issue.

Dr Leena Johns presented the findings of our 2026 whitepaper which focuses on the importance of multinationals building an effective and sustainable GLP-1 strategy.

She looked at the evolving use cases for GLP-1s, the opportunities and potential negative impacts that must be weighed up, and the importance of recognising that health is truly local – and that a one-size-fits-all approach is not a solution.

This is a topic that isn’t going anywhere, so it was great to hear such in-depth insights.

Partnerships are key to success

Last but certainly not least, we closed out Day 2 with a reminder of the importance of good partnerships and effective collaboration at both the local and global level.

In a panel session moderated by Jayesh Patel, some of our multinational captive clients shared their insights on how our local members can best collaborate with them.

This session was followed by a fireside chat between Mattieu Rouot and Arnau Vila from Marsh. They explored how global and local brokers, local insurers, and global benefits networks can work together more effectively to deliver successful global EB programmes.

It’s always invaluable to hear directly from our clients and broker partners and discuss how we can work together to improve outcomes for our global clients. A huge thank you again to all our expert panellists!

And although that was a wrap on the main sessions at the 2026 MAXIS Global Forum it wasn’t over until we crowned our 2026 MAXIS Member Awards winners. Meet the winners here…

Thank you again to everyone who joined us and helped make this the biggest and best MAXIS Global Forum yet – we’re already counting down to the next one!
