Hospitalisations have been six times higher and deaths 12 times higher for COVID-19 patients with existing chronic conditions. This is a worrying statistic.

Commercial Risk Europe hosted a webinar on Wednesday 24 February titled ‘Lessons from COVID-19: why chronic disease management is essential’. Our very own Dr Leena Johns, Head of Health & Wellness at MAXIS GBN was joined by Dr Neil Gordon, the CEO and founder of INTERVENT International to discuss what employers can do to offer support and continuity of care to their most vulnerable employees – those with chronic diseases.

In this informative webinar, we saw a brief presentation from Dr Johns highlighting the expected and unexpected consequences from COVID-19, followed by a Q&A session with Dr Gordon and Dr Johns.
