The 2020 Bermuda Captive Conference (BCC), originally scheduled for June, will now take place from 9-11 September. Because of continued concern surrounding the spread of COVID-19, the conference has now changed to a fully digital format. The theme for this year is “Vision 2020: Leading Global Risk Innovation.”1
One of the best things about the BCC has always been the opportunity to meet and interact with clients. The new virtual conference format won’t change that. According to BCC, Vision 2020 will include a “Captive Lounge” where attendees will be able to meet one another and virtually “engage in real-time conversation with clients, captive owners, providers, industry intelligence experts and market leaders.”1
BCC’s annual conference is one of the largest captive events on the calendar. In previous years, the event has attracted as many as 800 delegates. Insurance owners, risk managers, legal, audit and other support services professionals have traditionally gathered every year in Southampton, Bermuda, to share the latest news about the “ever-evolving captive landscape.”
